So you've been in The First Kiss Project. You've done the First Time Bad Sex. You've remixed and you've played with a Week of Weasleycest.
Now, the jockish minds ofspacebrat and stoptocheer bring you:
You Shoot We Score: the Quidditchfic Challenge
That's right, a challenge about sport. Quidditch. The one thing there simply isn't enough of in this fandom.
We simply want you to write a fic about Quidditch. Now, of course, we're not ruling out smut or pairings or anything of the such, we love jocklove as much as everyone, but in this challenge, Quidditch has to be the focus.
Take a canon Quidditch player (like the WoW03, we'd prefer people to take different characters, but repeats are, of course, sometimes necessary) and write about them.
The Rules:
1. Pick a character (or a team, or simply multiple characters) from the list below. Comment to this post with who you'd like to write about, and we'll strike it off.
2. Your submission must be at least 500 words long, and well beta-read.
3. The due date for submissions is 1 October, 2003. If this doesn't suit, we may accept heavy-handed bribery for extensions.
4. Quidditch must be the main focus of the story. Relationships, character death, whatever - it takes a backseat to Quidditch this time around. THIS DOES NOT MEAN NO SMUT/SLASH/HOTJOCKLOVE. It just means that the *focus* of the fic is Quidditch. Kind of like Oliver Wood in a way - he does other stuff, but the point of his life is Quidditch.
5. At least one canon Quidditch player must be involved.
6. The story must take place primarily on the Quidditch pitch, in the locker room or another location that is Quidditch-oriented.
7. Submissions can be sent to youshoot_wescore@yahoo.com, using an HTML template we'll provide at a later date.
